Up until Jennifer gave birth to a beautiful daughter, the atmosphere at home for Jennifer and Julian was very regular. Since then, their family cat Luna has radically changed the dynamic.
When they were apart, Luna would not allow their daughter sleep alone and would not stop meowing. Julian had the shock of his life when he discovered what was happening.
He phoned the police right away, and every officer on duty arrived.
Police Show Up
When the first policeman came, he was speechless at what he saw. How on earth could a cat have seen that? With a cat that was so perceptive, he advised Julian that he should be really pleased.
Julian was aware, down to his very core, that he had made a mistake; he ought to have been the one to safeguard his daughter…
Asking Questions
Within a matter of minutes, a minimum of a dozen more police vehicles arrived at the site. They immediately began interrogating both Julian and Jennifer with a series of questions.
The couple was in disbelief since, up until this point, they were unaware of the seriousness of the problem.
Unsettling Reasons
What the cops arrived to investigate was unsettling to say the least. But the fact that it had already begun before Jennifer even knew she was pregnant was an even more concerning development.
They should not have put their faith in such individuals.
But why did Luna not want to let her kid to sleep in her own room? And what was it that Julian ultimately discovered that made it imperative to have such a strong police presence?
Successful Pregnancy
Jennifer’s pregnancy was the catalyst; it was something they’d been hoping for for a long time. But there was one thing that bothered them, and that was their cat Luna.
They weren’t sure how she’d take to the newborn.
Frightening Stories
Both Jennifer and Julian hoped Luna would welcome the new addition to the family, since Jennifer had heard some terrifying accounts of cats that refused to accept a new member.
Otherwise, they would have no choice except to take Luna to a shelter.
Clawing at Her Stomach
As soon as Luna realized Jennifer was expecting, she began meowing incessantly at her stomach. Luna did not seem to be enjoying her pregnancy and began behaving in very odd ways.
Jennifer was very alarmed by this peculiar behavior.
Desperate for Explanations
They were at a loss to understand what was causing this peculiar behavior. Did Luna sense danger, or did the infant have a problem that Luna could sense? Jennifer needed information immediately, before it was too late.
To the Veterinarian
Jennifer requested that Julian take Luna to the vet. Before having to pick between the baby and the cat, they needed to be sure there was nothing wrong with Luna.
“It’s a Tough Call”
Bringing Luna to a shelter if she could not accept the baby would be a difficult decision, but they felt in their hearts that it was the safest option for their daughter.
The veterinarian, however, was unable to provide any answers.
Physical Examinations
He examined the cat medically to ensure its health and found no problems. Something must be bothering the infant, he said Julian. He suggested that Julian have Jennifer checked out at the hospital.
Panic Attack
Jennifer began sobbing as soon as Julian told her the news. Something was definitely up with the infant, and Luna had probably picked up on it before her did. Jennifer finally worked up the nerve to make that doctor’s appointment.
Instantaneously, he ordered her inside.
Help Was Needed
Jennifer needed a ride, so she contacted her buddy Eve, who was always there for her. Throughout the course of her pregnancy, she had been a great help around the home.
Within a matter of minutes, she arrived to accompany her companion to the emergency room. The front desk worker let her in as soon as she arrived.
Ultrasound
To make sure everything is well, the doctor ran a battery of complex diagnostic tests. Nothing abnormal was found on the ultrasound or in the other testing, so Jennifer and the baby seem to be healthy.
They were still left with more questions than answers.
Sad and Depressed
Jennifer was so overcome with emotion upon their return that she could not stop sobbing until they were safely inside their own house. She feared she would have to choose her kid or her cat.
She was reassured by Eve. Eve assured Jennifer that she would be available even while they were away from their house. Eve would soon be their babysitter; she had plenty of time to prepare.
Relieved
This reassurance that Luna will always have a watchful eye was a relief to Jennifer. In the end, it took Jennifer a couple of weeks to give birth to her baby daughter Lily.
However, after this, Luna’s odd conduct became more extreme.
Luna Finally Settled Down
Everything seemed to be running well for the first several weeks. It was a family affair, with both Jennifer and Julian there to care for their daughter. It seemed like Luna had settled down.
However, shortly after they got to work, Eve phoned with some bad news.
Not Abandoning Her
Jennifer was informed that Luna wouldn’t allow Lily sleep in her room by herself. She could not move from Luna’s side. Jennifer didn’t know what to make of it. Julian was unconvinced when she informed him.
Luna was only being affectionate with Lily, which moved him greatly.
Attacked
Then, one day, Eve made a panic call; she had just separated Luna and Lily and, upon returning to the basement, Luna had attacked her. It was clear to Julian that Luna was being overprotective, and he recognized that Luna needed to be disciplined for it.
The balance has been tipped
He went back to the clinic with a sad heart, and the doctor offered him an option. Since the veterinarian suspected something was wrong with Luna, he could either take her to a shelter or try to determine out what was wrong.
Were they part of the issue?
When the veterinarian suggested that Julian and his family may be the source of the issue, Julian took offense and left the clinic in a huff. Luna was too wary to allow Lily to spend the night without her.
On the other hand, Julian had a sneaking suspicion that there was more. No way was he the cause of the issue.
Taking a look at the pair of them
They chose to watch Luna and Lily for a bit. Lily seemed to have a soft spot for the feline, and Luna undoubtedly felt the same way about Lily; as a result, Lily and Luna were unable to say goodbye.
Realization
The trouble was that Luna always seemed to be right next to Lily whenever Julian put her to bed or she fell asleep on her own. Julian had come to terms with the situation until one day Eve phoned to say that Luna had bitten her.
That triggered an epiphany for Julian.
Eve
Luna’s odd behavior had only been noticed by Julian while Eve was around. While she was away, Luna went into a state of peace. The blame must be placed on Eve.

Sooth yourself
Although Jennifer warned Julian to cool down, she wouldn’t allow him to act irrationally. As Jennifer explained to Julian, the issue isn’t Eve since Luna also won’t let Lily sleep alone at night.

Invention of pure brilliance
Jennifer had a brilliant idea. For the sake of Luna and Lily, she instructed Julian to set up surveillance cameras all throughout the home. Inevitably, this would lead to further feedback.
To top it all off, they could even keep an eye on Eve throughout the day.
Suspicions
It seems like Eve had some reservations about Julian setting up surveillance cameras in the home. She enquired whether or not it was required, as well as what had led to this situation.
Julian found this to be quite suspicious. He had little faith in her until she began probing him with questions.
It seems that Luna did not trust her.
Nothing looked out of the usual as Julian watched video from the first couple of days. Luna continued to be extremely protective. Luna never stopped monitoring where Eve was. The signs were mounting that Luna did not trust her.
Julian intended to face Eve.
Shocked and awed
Because of their close friendship, Julian had to pull this off in secret from Jennifer. Julian became enraged and screamed at Eve. You have my kid, and what are you doing to her!
To say Eve was surprised is an understatement. In any case, she reassured Julian that she wasn’t out to harm him.
An Argument Ensued
Eve, who had been arguing with Julian, shot back at him. What could she have possibly done? Even though Jennifer isn’t home at night, ever since she found out she was pregnant, that dumb cat has been acting up.
Then Jennifer finally arrived home.
Ultimatum
Jennifer was furious that Julian had the nerve to accuse her closest friend, Eve, of trying to harm her sister, Lily. Jennifer gave Julian a deadline: either figure things out immediately, or she’d have to get rid of Luna.
Videos shot in the dark
There and then, Julian understood that Eve had said something that would provide him with all the information he needed. At night, Luna had the same reaction. Even though he had never looked at the nighttime video before, he plans to start doing so immediately.
Strange
When Julian fired up the program, he gasped when he saw that the recordings were deleted from the hard drive at night. Something really odd was happening, but what exactly?
Separate copies in case of disaster
He settled on the idea of creating a separate encrypted backup of the nightly recordings every day. Now that he had found the source, Julian was determined to learn the truth.
It was likely that Luna had sensed something neither he nor Jennifer could.
What we suspected all along
The next day, Julian was thrilled to finally examine the tape, and when he popped in the recordings, his worst fears were verified. He observed something unpleasant on the videotape of the baby’s room, coming in through the window.
Disbelief in its purest form
Julian was so startled that he could feel his pulse racing. Additional film review only increased his astonishment. Quickly dialing911, he hoped to stop the situation from escalating.
Making a 911 call
Julian detailed his observations. They assured him that all available cops would be sent to his house promptly. Julian was certain that he had stumbled across something monumental, but what could have necessitated such a large police presence?
Once the first cop gets here, things really start to heat up
Shortly after Julian contacted Jennifer to come home, he heard sirens outside. The first police contingent had finally arrived. Jennifer returned home and demanded an explanation; upon seeing the film, she knelt in awe and groveled at Julian’s feet.

In response to Eve, Luna does what?
Jennifer and Julian, said the police officer, should be proud of their cat since it had sensed something was odd. After seeing the tape, they pressed Julian for further details regarding their family’s predicament.
He detailed how their cat had responded to Eve. Because of this, the police officer became angry.
An Inquiry Begins
Concerned about Eve, he enquired, “Where is she?” They were hoping to grill her with questions. Even when he provided them his phone number, nobody answered. Just where was Eve when we needed her?
After they inquired for details, Jennifer provided them with every piece of data they need.
Hissing at the wall
While up on the second floor with Lily, Luna saw the police and went to the wall, where she began meowing at it. It seemed as if Luna had something to say to the police.
Some kind of secret was tucked away behind the wall.
Covert Storage
They smashed the wall with a hammer. Without consulting Julian or Jennifer, they tore down the wall. Behind the wall was a secret storage area! So, what the heck was going on?
Locating a Safe
They hastily removed everything, including a safe, from the room. It was necessary to hire a safe-cracker. While everything was going on, another group of police was checking Eve Anderson’s record.
Jennifer and Julian were both taken aback by what they devised.
Weeping Jennifer
As far as anybody could tell, Eve did not exist; she was never officially recorded or listed anywhere. She made up her entire existence, whatever she was. Jennifer sobbed; she and her closest friend had been together for almost a decade.
Where did they put the safe’s contents?
Safecracker
While waiting for the safecracker to come, Luna continued meowing at the safe. Her attention was also focused on Lily, who she watched carefully. There was a stench that made her nervous.
After the safe had been breached for good, they understood the enormity of the situation.
Recognition
The safe contained a large amount of money, jewels, important papers, and travel documents. When one of the passports was opened, the police saw a familiar face. “Thats Eve!” Jennifer said.
Secret agent working on a global scale
They discovered Eve’s secret stockpile. Jennifer was informed by the police captain that Elizabeth Holmes was an international spy. She had espionage warrants out for her in seventeen different countries.
Jennifer could not believe it.
Simply said, there’s a good reason
She spied on Jennifer and Julian since Julian runs a government security agency. He can breach any part of the country’s security network. Elizabeth was most likely employed by a competing firm to spill the beans.
At night, she deleted the recordings and attempted to get into Julian’s system.
Heroic acts by Luna
Luna was the only one who picked up on Elizabeth’s strange behavior, so she did all in her power to keep Lily safe. Clearly, Luna had solved this mystery. Julian was advised by the police that he and his wife should be extremely proud of their cat.
Pursuing a means of emigration
They were able to apprehend Elizabeth as she attempted to flee the country. She saw the cops approaching the home and decided not to risk being caught. When she finally did, though, she revealed everything.
The rescue mission was a success thanks to Luna.
Close companions
As children, Luna and Lily were inseparable pals. In time, Lily’s parents told her the whole tale. Since then, she has been always with Luna. Even when she was busy, Luna never stopped watching out for Lily.
Attempting to be more selective about who they let into their home, Julian and Jennifer. And at least they had Luna to keep an eye on them in case they messed up again.
